No piece of baggage should exceed a total size of 158 cm in three dimensions (length + width + height). If your baggage exceeds this limit or is considered special baggage (sports equipment, weapons, live animals), you need to seek prior confirmation and make the necessary payment based on the published rates.

No piece of baggage should exceed a total weight of 32 kg due to local legislation in Kazakhstan. Therefore, we advise you to repack or redistribute the weight into other baggage(s). Furthermore, passengers are encouraged to review the information available on Air Astana Cargo Services for further assistance with baggage exceeding 32 kg.
Bag Drop Off
We strive to make your travel experience as seamless as possible, including the process of dropping off your baggage two hours before your domestic flight and three hours before your international flight.
If you have checked in online or via our mobile app and have printed or digital copies of your boarding pass, proceed directly to the baggage drop-off counters. Our staff will assist you with tagging and dropping off your baggage.
Please ensure your baggage complies with our weight and size policy to avoid any additional fees or delays.
If you have any special baggage handling requests, such as fragile items or sports equipment, please inform our staff during the drop-off process. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
