Stopover Booking Terms & Conditions

You are recommended to read these booking terms and conditions carefully and in the event that there is anything, that you do not understand, contact the Stopover Holidays team at holidays@airastana.com for clarification.

Eligibility

Airfare must be first paid before you purchase the Stopover Holidays package.

The $19 promotional offer is only valid for one segment per booking reference number and available for the first-night stay with standard hotel check-in and check-out time. Stopover Holidays are offered to individual transit passengers travelling with Air Astana via Astana/Almaty from an international point of departure to an international point of arrival with a minimum connection time of 10 hours. For example, Moscow-Almaty-Delhi, Istanbul-Astana-Seoul, etc. Your travel must be issued with one single Air Astana ticket.

Unaccompanied passengers (Unaccompanied Minors) below 16 years old are not qualified for the benefits of Stopover Holidays.

Validity of Prices

All prices featured on www.airastana.com are:

  • Based on tariffs submitted by hotels and other third-party suppliers and on exchange rate current at the time of publishing;
  • All prices are per room (DOUBLE/TWIN or SINGLE room) in US Dollars.

Air Astana guarantees that once you have paid for your booking in full, regardless of increases in third-party supplier cost or adverse changes in monetary exchange rates, no additional charges will be passed to you with the exception of additional fees or taxes introduced by local authorities.

Program conditions

Booking must be made a minimum of 96 hours (4 days) prior to arrival. Booking well in advance is strongly recommended. A voucher for the Stopover Holidays services will issued once full payment has been received. This voucher is a confirmation of the services to be provided and should be held by the visitor to show upon demand.

Stopover Holidays Program includes:

  • Accommodation at the selected hotel/room type;
  • Breakfast;
  • Round-trip transfers between Astana/Almaty International Airports and the hotels;
  • All local taxes and service charges.

The Stopover Holidays Program does not include the cost of any visas, flights, travel and medical insurance.

Hotel Accommodation

There are two options for check-in and check-out time: standard time from 14:00 to 12:00 of the next day and the "Day Use*" option with accommodation from 07:00 to 19:00.

*Exception: Kazakhstan Hotel does not provide check-in and check-out options from 07:00 to 19:00.

Please note it is a normal practice to request a credit card guarantee or deposit at the check-in.

The number of rooms booked cannot exceed the number of passengers.

A maximum occupancy of two adults and a child below 6 years on existing bedding is applicable and does not require additional booking for a child.

Certain dates cannot be available for booking under Stopover Holidays in accordance with the hotels’ policy.

In the event that a hotel is unable to provide a room, Air Astana will make every effort to secure an alternative room within our network of partner hotels.

Transfer arrangements

The airport transfer is provided only when the dates of arrival and departure match the hotel check-in and check-out dates.

The transfer is provided within 1 (one) hour from the time of flight arrival taking into account all passports, immigration procedures and baggage claim. A dedicated driver will hold a signboard with the passenger’s name at the arrival hall.

The pick-up time for the return transfer should be reconfirmed with the driver upon your arrival at the hotel.

The baggage allowance per person is 2 pieces (one suitcase and one hand trolley bag or equivalent).

Rebooking, Cancellation, No-Shows and Refunds

The $19 promotional offer is nonrefundable in case of cancellation and no-show.

Rebooking of a $19 promotional offer is applicable only once and must be done a minimum of 7 days prior to arrival by contacting holidays@airastana.com.

Air Astana retains the right to change the selected hotel or offer a refund for the Stopover Holidays package in the case of hotel rooms being unavailable.

Other Stopover Holidays packages are refundable and re-bookable no later than 7 days prior to arrival. The request should be submitted to holidays@airastana.com.

In case of no-shows on the expected date/flight refunds are not permitted.

Air Astana recommends that visitors arrange travel insurance to cover costs incurred in the event of voluntary cancellation of services by the visitor.

Other conditions

All information on the Air Astana website is correct at the time of publishing. Please note that this product may not be available for sale in some countries as restrictions may apply.

Air Astana reserves the right to modify and otherwise change these Terms and Conditions at their own discretion. Except as provided for in the preceding sentence, no amendment, modification, or waiver to these Terms and Conditions shall be binding on Air Astana unless made in writing and signed by an authorized officer of Air Astana.

These terms and conditions should be read in conjunction with Air Astana’s Condition of Carriage, Website Terms of Use, and Privacy and Security Policy which you can read on airastana.com.

The failure of Air Astana to exercise any of its rights shall not be construed as a waiver or relinquishment of the future performance of any of its rights, and your obligations with respect to such future performance shall continue in full force and effect.

General information

Where Air Astana books a hotel or other ground service under the Stopover Holidays Program in its capacity as agent of the relevant third party supplier, your contract for that accommodation or service will be subject to the supplier’s Terms & Conditions which could limit or exclude liability to you. No contract will come into existence until we accept your request for a booking and receive full payment in cleared funds. When you submit your request for a booking, you guarantee that you have the authority to accept (and do accept) these conditions on behalf of yourself and all persons covered by your booking. It is your responsibility to ensure that any information given to you in connection with your booking by us, or any third-party supplier, is passed on to everyone on whose behalf you are making, or have made the booking. If you are making a booking for more than one person, you are responsible for all payments due from every person for whom that booking is made. All the featured hotels and services are subject to availability.

Responsibility of all concerned parties

Where Air Astana sells you Stopover Holidays service provided by a third party in its capacity, it is not responsible for acts or omissions of these suppliers, their employees or representatives, nor for any deficiency in the service provided and, in particular, Air Astana has no liability for loss, personal injury or death or other damage of whatever nature however incurred, unless such loss is caused by Air Astana’s negligence.

Air Astana reserves the right to cancel or change any Stopover Holidays service and is unable to accept any responsibility for loss, damage, or expense due to unusual, unforeseeable events beyond Air Astana’s reasonable control, the consequences of which could not be avoided even if all due care had been exercised, including but not limited to delays or changes in schedules, technical or maintenance problems, hotels, overbooking or defaults, adverse weather conditions, natural or industrial disaster, industrial actions involving third party suppliers, war, terrorist activity, quarantine or other causes. You accept full responsibility for such loss, damage, or expense.

Visitors must ensure that he/she and the rest of their party have valid passports and appropriate visas to enter the Republic of Kazakhstan. Under any circumstances, Air Astana will not be liable for any cost, delays, or illness resulting from the visitors’ failure to meet these requirements. Visitors are responsible for the behavior of him/herself and their party. Air Astana and our suppliers reserve the right to refuse booking or to remove the visitor or any member of the visitor's party from any hotel if the visitor or any member of his/her party is reasonably deemed to behave in a disruptive, dangerous, or anti-social manner. Air Astana will make no refund or payment of any cost incurred by visitors under these circumstances and visitors may face prosecution.
