Air Astana has taken delivery of a seventh Airbus A321LR on operating lease from Air Lease Corporation.

During November 2021 Air Astana engineers carried out C-Check maintenance for the first time at its modern engineering centre, at Astana airport. This C-check was performed on one of Air Astana’s Airbus A321 aircraft.

Air Astana will resume flights from Almaty to New Delhi, the capital of India, on 16th December 2021, with three services a week operated by Airbus A320 aircraft.

The services will initially be operated using Embraer E190-E2 aircraft twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays, with an additional two frequencies on Mondays and Fridays commencing in December.

The twice weekly service will be operated by Embraer E190 E2 aircraft on Thursdays and Sundays.

The twice weekly service will be operated by Airbus A321LR aircraft on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Air Astana has reconfigured the cabins of its five Airbus A320neo aircraft, with the installation of an increased number of new and more comfortable business class seats.

Flight frequencies increased to Dubai, Moscow, St Petersburg and Istanbul.

This is the ninth time that Air Astana has received the award with eight consecutive successes 2012-2019.

Air Astana is pleased to announce the resumption of direct flights from Almaty to Male (Maldives) from 9 October 2021.

Air Astana introduced an additional frequency between Kyiv and Astana on Tuesday, 7th September 2021, with the capitals of Kazakhstan and Ukraine now connected three times a week on Mondays. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Air Astana will be undertaking trials of the IATA Travel Pass mobile application on services between Astana and Istanbul between 2nd and 16th September 2021.

Air Astana resumes direct flights from Kazakhstan’s capital Astana to London Heathrow on 18th September 2021 initially with two frequencies on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

Air Astana is estimating financial performance for the combined months of January and February 2021 at its highest level since 2017, after reporting a loss of $94m in 2020.
