Air Astana Group announces that Adrian Hamilton-Manns, the CEO of its low- cost subsidiary, FlyArystan, has decided to resign from the company in order to return to South Africa to spend more time with his family.

Air Astana has successfully completed its first six-year C-Check at the carrier’s engineering and technical center in Astana. The work on an Airbus A321 took more than 20 days and involved 7,800 man-hours undertaken by highly qualified mechanics and engineers holding international certificates and EASA Part 66 licenses, including those trained under Air Astana’s aviation technician training program.

Air Astana was honored to receive a recurrent award from the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) at a ceremony held during the FTE APEX Asia Expo 2023 in Singapore earlier this month. The airline was awarded in two categories within the Central/Southern Asia group: Best Cabin Service and Best Entertainment.

Air Astana switched to a Winter Schedule on 29th October 2023, with the resumption of services from Almaty and Astana on seasonal routes and increases in frequencies to popular destinations in Asia and the Gulf.

As part of the signed Memorandum, the companies plan to collaborate on jet fuel supply, infrastructure development, and transitioning to the international Jet A-1 jet fuel standard. Given the lack of production of this type of fuel in Kazakhstan, companies have also discussed the possibility of import of Jet A-1 and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) directly from refineries in China.

Due to the unstable situation in Israel, Air Astana informs that the scheduled flight tomorrow will operate subject to the security of Ben-Gurion Airport. Нowever all subsequent flights are suspended until further notice.

Air Astana performed the first regular flight from Almaty to the city of Jeddah today. The load factor was 92%. In October flights will be operated on Wednesdays and Sundays, and from November on Wednesdays and Saturdays. From the beginning of December, a third frequency will be added to the schedule on Mondays.

The Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) has honoured Air Astana with a five-star rating in the major airline category, with the ceremony being held in Los Angeles on 20 September 2023. This is the ninth time that Air Astana has received an APEX award.

Air Astana officially commissioned its new Flight Training Centre at Astana International Airport today, with the facility being the first in Central Asia certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The new training centre is equipped with the very latest generation flight simulators that meet international standards.

Air Astana, Kazakhstan’s award-winning flag carrier, launched a new direct air services from Almaty to Tel Aviv, today. The new flight is scheduled to operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays using Airbus A321LR aircraft.

Air Astana has opened ticket sales for a new direct flight from Almaty to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, which will commence on 1st October 2023. Services will initially operate on Wednesdays and Sundays, with additional frequency to be introduced at a later date.

Air Astana has opened ticket sales for a new direct flight from Almaty to Tel Aviv, Israel, which will operated twice weekly by Airbus A321LR starting in September. This service represents an expansion of the airline’s route network in a new direction and provides the first direct air service between Kazakhstan and Israel.
