Deutsche Bahn (DB) Rail & Fly is a good alternative to domestic flights in Germany.

When flying Air Astana to Frankfurt or Amsterdam, you can book an onward connection on the Deutsche Bahn rail network to any of the 6000+ railway stations in Germany.

To purchase a DB train ticket along with an Air Astana flight, choose "German Railway (QYG)" in the drop-down menu for the arrival point.

For technical reasons the itinerary automatically shows a fictitious train number, fictitious arrival/departure points (QYG), and fictitious times for the train segment, please check the real train departure time at bahn.de.

The rail ticket is valid on the day of arrival in Germany and the following day, and the day of departure in Germany.
