MySEAT Terms & Conditions


General Terms & Conditions

  • Chargeable seat MySEAT is only available on flights operated by Air Astana.
  • • Reservation of 1st,2nd, 3rd and 4th and emergency row seats (except 41st row) in Economy Class are not available on flights Astana-London-Astana, Astana-Paris-Astana, Astana-Frankfurt-Astana when Economy Sleeper is offered. 
  • Unaccompanied Minors cannot book chargeable seats. 
  • Nomad Club Diamond and Gold Members can reserve chargeable and any regular seats for free.
  • MySEAT can not be purchased by Ticket Discount Certificate or Nomad club points but can be redeemed against Gift Card in own Air Astana ticketing offices across Kazakhstan. 
  • After the purchase, the seat can not be rebooked, changed or cancelled with the exception of flight cancellation or flight delay by Air Astana. 
  • MySEAT can be changed for operational, safety or security reasons, even after the boarding. Air Astana will endeavor to seat you in a suitable alternative seat. Our crew will look for row with the same characteristic as has been booked before. 
  • MySEAT is not transferable to any other passengers.
  • Passengers travelling with animals cannot be seated on the 1st and Emergence rows.

Refund policy

  • You will not receive a refund for paid seating in following cases:

- if you cancel your flight;
- you were involuntarily or voluntarily upgraded to Business class;
- you did not meet safety requirements to sit in the chosen seat type;
- no show in case of non-compliance with immigration and other requirements;

  • You can apply for refund in following cases: 

- if your flight was cancelled or delayed by Air Astana;
- if your aircraft type was changed and chargeable seat with the similar characteristic wasn’t available;

  • To proceed with refund please contact customer.relations@airastana.com 
  • We cannot process refund applications at the airport or on board.
  • Unless otherwise stated, we will only make a refund to the credit card used. 

Emergency exit row MySEAT

  • Emergency exit row seats are situated either next to or immediately behind the exit door.
  • In the unlikely event of an evacuation passenger must assist in the opening of the emergency door. 
  • Emergency exit seats will only be available if passenger meets the safety requirements. The passenger who occupies emergency exit row seat should be in full fitness and able to understand printed and verbal instructions given in English, Russian or Kazakh. 
  • Passengers with V booking class (Youth and Senior fare) cannot purchase Emergency exit row.
  • Passengers who are not eligible to book emergency exit seat MySEAT: 

- persons who physically and mentally are not able to open an emergency exit door;
- children and teenagers (2-18 yrs.), including Unaccompanied minors;
- passengers with infants and/or children;
- passengers with pet animal;
- passengers whose physical size would prevent them from being able to move quickly;
- passengers who, due to language problems, might not become aware of instructions given in English, Russian or Kazakh.
- senior passengers;
- pregnant women;
- passengers who require extension seat belt;
- passengers with special needs;

  • The final decision on passenger seating at emergency exit row is with crew members operating the flight. 
  • On board cabin crew will check whether you meet safety requirements you've agreed to when reserving your emergency exit row seat. If you don't, we will have to take the decision to assign you another seat with no refund.
  • If your circumstances change and you no longer meet the requirements you should contact customer.relations@airastana.com at least 48 hours before your flight departs to be able to claim a refund.
