New Air Passenger Duty Regulations for Travels from UK

UK Air Passenger Duty (APD)* will no longer be charged for children between the age of 12 and 15 years old inclusive, travelling in Economy Class on all flights departing from the UK from 1 March 2016.

Air Astana is currently working to update in order to correctly price the bookings that include children falling under the above mentioned age category.

In the meantime, if you are planning to travel from the UK after 1 March 2016 and your booking will include children aged 12-15 years old, please make your booking via our 24/7 Call Centre, ticketing offices or travel agents. This will allow us to price your itinerary correctly.

If you already have purchased your ticket for travel from the UK after 1 March 2016 at, please contact our Call Centre for a refund of APD tax on children aged 12-15 years old. If you have purchased your ticket via our ticketing offices or a travel agent, you will need to contact that ticketing office or travel agent.

Air Passenger Duty still applies to bookings in Business Class.

*The Air Passenger Duty is a UK Government tax levied on air travel from UK airports.
