Online Check-in

Online check-in opens 36 hours before departure and closes 1 hour before departure.  

It may not be available due to the following reasons and for the following categories of passengers:

• codeshare or interline flight not operated by Air Astana;
• unaccompanied minors;
• passengers travelling with pets in the cabin;
• passengers travelling with special baggage in the cabin;
• passengers travelling with an extra seat;
• certain routes where online check-in is not available.

Printing boarding passes is restricted for the following passengers:

• passengers under 18 years of age;
• passengers travelling with age-based (youth and senior) fares;
• adult passengers travelling with infants;
• passengers requiring special assistance;
• passengers travelling on emergency exit row seats;
• certain routes where boarding pass printing is not available.

Below are examples of acceptable boarding passes:

• Mobile boarding pass with QR code
• Printed boarding pass
• Boarding pass from a self-service kiosk

1. Online check-in (with the option to print a boarding pass) is open for the following routes:

• Within Kazakhstan;
• from Kazakhstan to Antalya (AYT), Bodrum (BJV), Batumi (BUS), Dushanbe (DYU), Bishkek (BSZ), Baku (GYD), Istanbul (IST), Male (MLE), Osh (OSS), Tashkent (TAS), Tbilisi (TBS), Podgorica (TGD);
• from Amsterdam (AMS), Batumi (BUS), Dubai (DXB), Frankfurt (FRA), Heraklion (HER), Baku (GYD), Istanbul (IST), London (LHR), Tbilisi (TBS) to Kazakhstan.

2. Online check-in without the option to print a boarding pass is open for the following international routes:

• from Kazakhstan to Amsterdam (AMS), Abu Dhabi (AUH), Bangkok (BKK), Mumbai (BOM), Guangzhou (CAN), Nha Trang (CXR), Da Nang (DAD), Delhi (DEL), Dubai (DXB), Frankfurt (FRA), Heraklion (HER), Phuket (HKT), Seoul (ICN), Jeddah (JED), London (LHR), Medina (MED), Beijing (PEK), Phu Quoc (PQC), Urumqi (URC);
• from Abu Dhabi (AUH), Antalya (AYT), Bodrum (BJV), Batumi (BUS), Bangkok (BKK), Mumbai (BOM), Guangzhou (CAN), Nha Trang (CXR), Da Nang (DAD), Delhi (DEL), Dushanbe (DYU), Bishkek (BSZ), Phuket (HKT), Seoul (ICN), Jeddah (JED), Medina (MED), Male (MLE), Osh (OSS), Beijing (PEK), Phu Quoc (PQC), Tashkent (TAS), Urumqi (URC) to Kazakhstan.

3. Online check-in is fully closed for the all charter flights.

4. Mobile check-in is open for the following routes (on these routes you can save mobile boarding passes to the wallet):

• From Astana (NQZ), Almaty (ALA), Ust-Kamenogorsk (UKK), Kyzylorda (KZO), Shymkent (CIT), Aktobe (AKX), Aktau (SCO), Atyrau (GUW), Uralsk (URA), Kostanay (KSN) to other cities of Kazakhstan;
• From Almaty (ALA) to Batumi (BUS), Dushanbe (DYU), Baku (GYD), Bishkek (BSZ), Istanbul (IST), Male (MLE), Osh (OSS), Tashkent (TAS), Tbilisi (TBS), Podgorica (TGD);
• From Astana (NQZ) to Podgorica (TGD), Tashkent (TAS), Istanbul (IST);
• From Amsterdam (AMS), Dubai (DXB), Frankfurt (FRA), Heraklion (HER), London (LHR), Istanbul (IST), Tbilisi (TBS) to Kazakhstan.

You can easily print your boarding pass at self check-in kiosks available at Almaty and Astana airports on domestic routes.

Self check-in kiosks provide the convenience of registering for your journey without the need to visit a traditional check-in counter.

• For passengers travelling with cabin baggage only, you may proceed directly to the boarding gate following the completion of your check-in process.
• For those with checked baggage, kindly proceed to the designated Baggage Drop-off counter after completing your check-in at the kiosk and printing your boarding pass.
