Effective from 15 September 2025, check-in for Air Astana’s domestic and international flights at Almaty International Airport will be carried out in Terminal T2. This adjustment is due to the ongoing reconstruction of the Domestic Departures Terminal (T1) and will remain in place until the completion of the works.

Check-in for domestic flights will be available at counters 14–25 in Terminal T2. Once check-in is completed, passengers will be required to proceed to Terminal T1 for security screening and boarding. Passengers who have checked-in online and should use counters 14–15 for baggage drop-off, while those travelling without baggage may proceed directly to Terminal T1 for security screening and boarding.

Online check-in is available on the official Air Astana website and mobile app. It opens 36 hours before departure and closes 60 minutes prior to departure. In addition, self-service kiosks are available in Terminal T2. Passengers are strongly advised to arrive at the airport well in advance, allowing sufficient time for check-in and walking between terminals.

The check-in procedure for international flights remains unchanged.

Air Astana, in close cooperation with Almaty International Airport, is taking all necessary measures to ensure a smooth and comfortable travel experience for passengers during the terminal reconstruction period.
