If your bag does not arrive, you can use the reference number on the PIR to check if there is any update on the tracing of your bag – please click here to check the status of your misplaced bag.

Please note that in accordance with the Warsaw Convention, supplemented by The Hague Protocol, the liability limit for loss, delay, or damage is US$20.00 per kilo for checked baggage. If the content of a bag is defined as “valuable baggage” it is recommended to insure the baggage.

Please be aware that Air Astana assumes no liability for fragile, valuable or perishable articles. Broken glass containers and liquid spills inside a suitcase are generally not the responsibility of the airline, so care should be taken by passengers when packing baggage for a journey by air.  Due to safety measures, cash, business documents, jewelry, silverware, personal medicines, cameras, laptop computer and mobile phones cannot be transported as checked baggage and should be carried with the passenger on the plane.
