The Air Astana fleet consists of Boeing 767, Boeing 757, Airbus A319, Airbus A320, Airbus A321 and Embraer 190 aircraft. Air Astana currently operates a total of 31 aircraft and has plans to increase its fleet size to a total of 36 aircraft by the end of 2017.
The Boeing 757-200 incorporates advanced technology for exceptional fuel efficiency, low noise levels, increased passenger comfort, and top operating performance. It can fly both long and short range routes and is powered by two very powerful and reliable Rolls-Royce RB211 jet engines. The cabin is configured with 16 business class seats and 150 economy seats. The Air Astana Boeing 757s are fitted with both video and audio in flight entertainment systems. Individual in-seat in-flight entertainment system is planned to be installed on Boeing 757 fleet between May and July 2014.
These aircraft operate on both long and medium range international routes and domestic trunk routes.
Air Astana is the first and only airline in Kazakhstan to use the Airbus A319/A320/A321. The A320 aircraft is very environmentally friendly and has the lowest fuel burn, levels of emissions and noise footprint of its class. The A320 employs the latest cockpit and avionics technology and is the fastest selling aircraft in the world today.
With the addition of the A319, A320 and the larger version A321 to its fleet, Air Astana is increasing the frequency of its international and jet operated domestic routes.
