Air Astana Achieved 4 Star Rating and Named Best Airline Central Asia and India
Air Astana, the Kazakhstan flag carrier, is celebrating triple success at the 2014 World Airline Awards held at the Farnborough International Airshow where Air Astana was named the Best Airline in Central Asia and India for the third consecutive time. Air Astana also received the award for Best Staff Service in Central Asia and India for the second consecutive time. Since 2012, Air Astana has been rated as a 4 Star carrier by Skytrax and remains the only airline in Eastern Europe and CIS to achieve this.
Kazakhstan’s international flag carrier now ranks amongst the world’s best airlines for passenger service both in the air and on the ground.
The World Airline Awards are the primary benchmarking tool for Passenger Satisfaction levels of airlines throughout the world, delivering a unique survey format based on analysis of business and leisure travelers, across all cabin travel types (First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy Class and Economy class).
Air travelers were surveyed by telephone, questionnaires and online about their experiences with airlines on the ground and in the air over a 10 month period. The survey measured passenger satisfaction across a wide range of performance indicators of airline front-line product and service, including check-in, boarding, onboard seat comfort, cabin cleanliness, food, beverages, in-flight entertainment and staff service. The survey covered over 200 airlines, from the largest international airlines to smaller domestic carriers.
