  • Flight Disruptions due to Adverse Weather Conditions at Sheremetyevo International Airport

    27 December 2010

Please be informed of flight disruptions to/from Moscow due to adverse weather conditions and the lack of de-icing liquid at Sheremetyevo International Airport. Because of the inability of Sheremetyevo International Airport to provide de-icing services more than 60 flights of different airlines were cancelled.

This made Air Astana cancel its flights KC875 Almaty – Moscow and KC876 Moscow – Almaty on 26 December 2010. Flights between Astana and Moscow and Almaty and Moscow are delayed on 26 – 27 December, 2010.

Passengers are advised to contact their travel agents or Air Astana Call Centre for rebooking or cancellation/refund. Passengers will be able to use their tickets on Almaty – Moscow – Almaty and Astana – Moscow – Astana flights departing before 9 January, 2011 subject to availability within the original ticket value. In addition, Air Astana offers its passengers the opportunity to change the point of arrival or departure on flights departing before 9 January, 2010 to/from the Russian Federation, Almaty – Saint Petersburg – Almaty, Astana – Novosibirsk – Astana and  Astana – Yekaterinburg – Astana. Change of reservation within the original ticket value and refund will be processed with no additional charge.

Please accept our apologies if the requested dates are not available and we hope for your understanding.

For the latest updates about departure and arrival times, please visit the Arrivals and Departures section of our website that reflects schedule changes immediately or contact our Call Centre.
