Air Astana would like to apologise to passengers for delays in check-in and departure of a series of its flights from Almaty earlier today. These difficulties were caused by a power failure to the SITA system in Almaty and similarly affected other carriers including all foreign airlines using the system between 22.20 and 01.30 UTC. The SITA system is now fully restored and Air Astana is making every possible effort to catch-up with the backlog of delayed flights.
