Air Astana will launch a new service from Almaty to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on 2nd January 2013. The outbound flight will be operated via Bangkok, with a total flight time of nine hours. Inbound non-stop flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Almaty will take only seven hours. Flights will be operated by Boeing 757 twice weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays.
The new flights will not only serve passengers from Kazakhstan, but are also expected to attract traffic originating from Russia, Central Asia and Caucasus.

The minimum cost of a round trip economy class ticket from Almaty to Ho Chi Minh, including all fees, is 88,000 KZT and a business class ticket is 348,000 KZT.
