    ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

    All visitors require a valid passport and most need to obtain a visa prior to entering Abu Dhabi. However, citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council(GCC) states – plus nationals of the following countries – do not require visas prior to arrival at a UAE airport: UK, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Finland, Malta, Spain, Monaco, Vatican, Iceland, Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. These visitors will be granted a visa free of charge for a single visit upon arrival in the UAE.

    Taxis are easily obtainable in Abu Dhabi and all are fitted with meters. Driving licences issued by most countries are accepted for the hire of rental cars. Please refer to your local agent for details. Public buses are also available.
